To celebrate this Valentine's day, CHITATO released couple edition CHITATO! Meant to be enjoyed together with your loved ones, or perfect to satisfy your midnight cravings - alone. *hahaha 😜
There are 2 new flavors, Chili Soy Sauce and Fried Tempura. In the packaging we can see the couple edition statement, with a couple characters on it. The girl is holding the Chili Soy Sauce flavor, while the boy is holding Fried Tempura flavor. Earlier, we were wondering why CHITATO choose the girl and the boy to be in the designated flavor. Maybe it's because usually girls love spicy food more than boys? hahaha 😁
From the first bite, the dominant taste of CHITATO Chili Soy Sauce Flavor is salty. The Spiciness come out afterward along with hint of soy sauce aroma. The thing why CHITATO always dominate in potato chips snack world, I think it's because of their balance of savory taste and the right thickness of the chips, making it crunchy and not greasy. Overall, the taste for Chili Soy Sauce Flavor is appealing and worth a try.
Moving on to the boy ⚦ The first thing we notice on the first bite is the shrimp flavor, and it is light and not too overpowering but very appetizing at the same time, it makes us want to have another bite right away. Other than that, fishy seafood and dipping soy sauce aroma can be vague tasted as aftertaste when you bite the chips. Furthermore, we loved the balance of salty and savory for this flavor. Overall, it really fulfill our expectation for its name, as the combination of flavors and aromas really makes us think of the real fried tempura 😋
To be honest, we really prefer the Fried Tempura flavor, since it has more depth in its flavor. Compared to the Chili Soy Sauce flavor, which literally only tasted salty and spicy without any hint of other characters. The Fried Tempura might become our second favorite flavor of CHITATO from now on! If they continue to produce it of course 😛
